In 2019, Harvey Gruber and Jeff Posin founded Lawyers Defense Group in order to defend attorneys accused of ethical violations by the State Bar of Nevada. Harvey and Jeff use their extensive history as Chairman and members of the State Bar Southern Nevada Disciplinary Committee, as well as their extensive criminal defense experience, to vigorously defend attorneys facing the potential of disciplinary action by State bar that can result in a range of penalties, including the potential loss of their license to practice law.
Jeff Posin
Jeff Posin attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri from 1987 to 1991, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance. He continued onto law school at the University Of Arizona College Of Law, one of the nation’s top rated law schools, where he graduated in 1994 with a Juris Doctor degree. He has achieved both scholastic achievements during his academic pursuits and professional recognition during his career. Jeff graduated with high honors from law school and was named both Magna Cum Laude and an Order of the Coif upon graduation. During law school Jeff was an intern for the Public Defender’s Office in Tucson, Arizona, as well as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Lawrence Fleischman in the Superior Court of Arizona.
As a practicing lawyer, Jeff has been recognized by his peers as an outstanding attorney. He is listed in the National Martindale Hubble Registry of Preeminent Lawyers with an AV rating. Jeff was also recognized by the Clark County Bar Association as a Pro Bono Superstar for the work he has performed at no cost to low income clients. Jeff served as both the Chairman of the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Committee as well as the Vice Chairman of the State Bar of Nevada Clients’ Security Fund Committee.

Harvey Gruber
Harvey Gruber has practiced law in Nevada since 1997, In that time he has concentrated his practice in criminal defense, family law, and personal injury law. Harvey has practiced in front of just about every jurisdiction in Clark County, NV, including the Nevada Supreme Court.
Harvey Gruber was also a six year member and the Vice Chair of the State Bar Client Security Fund Committee, which oversees the return of money to people whose attorneys have been disbarred, suspended or are unable to practice law any longer. Additionally, Harvey served for two years as a panelist for the State Bar Southern Nevada Discplinary Committee.
In 2019, Harvey Gruber and Jeff Posin founded Lawyers Defense Group solely to defend Attorneys in front of the State Bar of Nevada in all Disciplinary matters.
